Cookie Policy
What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help sites function properly and provide information to site owners.
Some cookies are essential for the Site to work correctly, while others help us understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it. We also use browser localStorage for some functionality, which works similarly to cookies but stays on your device.
Our use of cookies complies with the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), the UK GDPR, and the EU GDPR. We only set non-essential cookies after obtaining your explicit, informed consent.
How We Use Cookies
We use the following types of cookies on i2o.ai:
Essential Cookies
These cookies are necessary for the Site to function. They cannot be disabled without affecting the usability of the Site. Essential cookies do not require your consent under GDPR.
- Theme preference — stores your dark/light mode choice so the Site displays in your preferred theme across visits. Stored in localStorage.
- Cookie consent — records whether you have accepted or rejected analytics cookies so you are not prompted repeatedly. Stored in localStorage. Duration: 12 months.
Analytics
Analytics help us understand how visitors interact with the Site. They are only activated after you give explicit consent via the cookie consent banner. You can choose independently which analytics to enable:
Product Analytics (PostHog)
Tracks page views, clicks on links and buttons, session duration, referral sources, and device information. We host PostHog in the EU (eu.i.posthog.com) to keep your data under our control. PostHog uses localStorage (not cookies) for persistence, storing data under ph_* keys. PostHog also powers opt-in session recordings at a 10% sample rate, with all input fields masked and legal pages (/privacy, /terms, /cookies) excluded. The PostHog JS SDK is configured with respect_dnt: true to honour your browser's Do Not Track setting.
Web Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
Tracks page views, traffic sources, and audience demographics. IP addresses are anonymised via the anonymize_ip configuration. Google Analytics 4 is loaded via gtag.js and sets _ga and _ga_* cookies for visitor and session identification. Duration: up to 14 months. If you withdraw consent, the gtag.js script is removed and all GA cookies are cleared from your browser.
Cookie Details
The following table lists the specific cookies used on the Site:
Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You can manage your cookie preferences in the following ways:
- Cookie consent banner — when you first visit the Site, a banner allows you to accept all, reject all, or customise which analytics categories you enable. You can choose independently between product analytics (PostHog) and web analytics (Google Analytics).
- Cookie Settings link — you can change your preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie Settings" link in the site footer. This re-opens the settings panel where you can update your choices.
- Browser settings — most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. See your browser's help documentation for instructions. Note that blocking essential cookies may affect the functionality of the Site.
If you reject analytics, the Site will continue to function normally. Only essential cookies and localStorage entries will be used. When you withdraw consent for a specific analytics category, all associated data (cookies and localStorage entries) is immediately removed from your browser.
Third-Party Cookies
We do not use third-party advertising or marketing cookies. The only third-party cookies on the Site are from our analytics providers (PostHog and Google Analytics), and these are only set with your explicit consent.
We do not allow any other third party to set cookies through the Site for their own purposes.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
If we make significant changes to how we use cookies, we will re-prompt you for consent via the cookie consent banner.
